BOONE, N.C. — Awarded by the Appalachian State University Staff Senate, Staff Shout Outs recognize staff members for their positive contributions to the University. In November 2024, three staff members in the App State College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) received Shout Outs from their colleagues.

Mary Beth Crass

CAS Dean's Office
Crass, who joined the Dean's Office in August, assists the 17 departments in CAS with travel requests. A department chair submitted, "Thanks for helping with travel questions so patiently and pleasantly!" Another colleague wrote, "Mary Beth has shown a keen eye for detail with Chrome River requests - you are appreciated!"

Research Operations and Laboratories Manager
Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences
A colleague recognized Love for helping the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences (GES) prepare for and recover from Hurricane Helene, writing, "GES wishes to acknowledge the incredible amount of work that Anthony Love put in before, during and after Hurricane Helene! We cannot thank you enough for your sustained dedication to your department, colleagues and friends. You're the best Anthony, and we're so luck to have you here at App State."

Administrative Support Specialist
Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures
Trivette received seven shout-outs in November, emphasizing her critical role as the only administrative specialist in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures (LLC):
"Mrs. Cindy Trivette is exceptionally kind and efficient in her job. She is always attentive to the needs of students, staff and faculty in the department, ensuring that timely resources and information are provided at all times. I truly appreciate everything she does to keep our administrative affairs running smoothly. She is just amazing! Thanks for everything you do, Cindy!"
